Cannabis use has begun to spread ripples ever since its legalization for medical and recreational use. Among the first ones to take that step was Lowell Café found in West Hollywood.
Other establishments surfaced within the 11 states where recreational cannabis use is permissible. Now, West Hollywood is about to bring in 15 more to business.
Among these is the anticipated Aeon Botanika. Its focus is to stand as a health and wellness facility with a café and an area for cannabis consumption. With its current state on its journey, the cannabis lounge will open its doors by Spring 2020.
The West Hollywood Small Business License Commission authorized a license for Aeon Botanika. This paves the way for its location at 8448 Santa Monica Boulevard to open its doors.
As of the moment, they need to secure a state license to give Aeon Botanika clearance. Once secured, their facility will be in full operation.
This is the fifth recreational cannabis retailer that managed to secure a business license from the West Hollywood area. The other establishments that procured such a license include PleasureMed, Artist Tree, Calma, and Budberry.
Nicole Fox, a registered dietician, and co-founder of Aeon shows her elation in the news of the permit approval. She expresses her thoughts on the matter. In which she looks forward to providing a way to integrate cannabis into healthcare. It is due to the medical properties that cannabis yields.
Veena Parekh, also a co-founder of Aeon, emphasizes on how this new location would not be a mere business venture. For her, this is an opportunity. In this case, to build up a place where people would gather and forge connections. All while they rejuvenate and deepen their wellness journey. Parekh also notes that this encourages a unique opportunity for relaxation and education.
With this in mind, the idea of having cannabis introduced for public use is growing. These establishments aim to ensure the stigma behind the use of the plant vanish in the long run.
What to Look Forward To
Aeon Botanika aims to open its doors by Spring 2020. On top of that, they have a lineup of services ready for interested patrons.
First, it aims to open as a restaurant. One that offers scrumptious menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Along with this is a coffee program directed by Ritual Coffee Roasters. As for what appears on the menu, Fred Eric of Fred62 will stand as the culinary director.
On its wellness center, they will offer appointments and sessions for their specialists. Among these include a licensed integrative dietitian, acupuncturist, and massage therapist. A functional medicine physician is also present in the lineup. Your health needs are within their capable hands.
Other activities to look forward to at Aeon Botanika include morning meditation practice, yoga, educational lectures, panel discussions, and community events.
Ferrier Architecture Studio is designing the 7000-square-foot store space on Santa Monica Boulevard. The interior design has Keith Greco working on it, known for his designs behind The Little Door and Cliff’s Edge.
Other Things in Store for Aeon Botanika
Aside from the lineup of services coming with Aeon Botanika’s opening, they will also have a line of health products ready for customers to avail of. These happen to be non-cannabis based. This shows their versatility in the products they offer. It highlights their goal of offering wellness for all.
They will also unveil their house-grown, craft cannabis flower, and microdose cannabis wellness product line. Its reveal date is on Spring 2020 as well, at the same time as their flagship store in West Hollywood.
Aside from this, plans for a second store is in the works. The location for this second outlet is at the Mid-Wilshire district in L.A. by Summer 2020. Other plans coming up include an expansion towards the key markets in California and onwards to a national scale.
With this current trend, cannabis may have the same appeal as alcohol in what it provides for both recreation and medicine.
